Overzicht van de Trip

Fishing has continued to be steady for Captain Kent as we get into July. Were seeing a nice mix of Trout and Salmon with a few Walleyes mixed in. The average size has been great with some really nice salmon hitting the deck!

The ice is starting to retreat in the Duluth area and our season is starting to get underway! Boats have been getting a mixed bag of Salmon, Rainbows, and Lake Trout. Conditions are looking good for an early start to our Charter fishing season!

We've been on the water all week despite the NE winds that have been pounding Duluth all week. The waves have been big but the fish haven't seemed to mind. We've been fishing close to town and still getting a nice mix of Lake Trout and Salmon. We've been getting most of the fish on the surface with bright colors working best. It looks like the wind should switch early next week and things should get really good! We also spent a couple hours trolling the bay and have found good walleye action which should continue with good reports still coming upstream.
