Last week saw some great big mako action in the waters off San Diego. We caught several makos from 200 to 700lbs. Several small makos, blues and even a huge great white also made appearances in the chum slicks.

Good numbers of sharks this spring with groups releasing at or near double digits of blue sharks every trip with a mako thrown in the mix on most days. Largest so far is a 500lb class mako.
