What a day on the water! We started the morning with conditions a little windy, but worked our way offshore. We kicked things off by trolling and quickly got into the Bonitas, keeping the rods bent and the energy high. As we pushed farther offshore, we found some Wahoo and Mahi . As we started towards home we had a few more Bonitas, giving the us one last round of excitement before wrapping up the day with a gorgeous ride home. The Destin sunset and playing dolphins didn’t disappoint! Huge thanks to our great group from Texas — awesome people, great attitudes, and a blast to fish with.

We had a fantastic day on the water with a 5-hour trip that brought in a variety of catches. It was a bit chilly in the morning, but the afternoon warmed up nicely, making ideal conditions. We landed plenty of bank bass, scamp, lane snapper, a 3lb flounder, and lots of triggerfish. The weather was gorgeous—flat seas and cool temperatures made for a pleasant outing. In addition to the great fishing, we were treated to the sight of numerous playing dolphins, adding to an already memorable day.

Yesterday brought sunshine, steady winds, and a true test of persistence on the water. While the targeted species weren’t cooperating, we stayed busy with plenty of Bonita action on the troll, a few quality triggerfish, and a surprise visit from a small tiger shark. We even had a close call with a medium mahi that slipped away at the last moment. As always, it was a great day to be on the Gulf — because any day spent fishing beats a day of doing anything else!
