We had an absolutely beautiful day in Ketchikan Alaska. We started out bottom fishing for halibut and soon got our limit along with a few Rockfish. We switched over and went salmon fishing. We went four for five. We caught three undersized kings less than 28 inches, Lost a nice keeper, and landed a beauty!

We had plenty of action with a military family and landed a nice 40lb Halibut on this trip!

May has been a great month for bottom fishing. Limits of Halibut have been the norm so far. Most halibut are running 32"-38" Rockfish and Pacific Cod are putting up plenty of action too. So far King salmon fishing has been pretty slow. You really need patience on the King bite right now.
