Had a 4hr inshore trip Recently with some locals and their family from oklahoma! We fished around 3 mile bridge starting at 2pm, they landed 18 bull reds ( over slot ) , all 33 to 40” long!!!! Big boy bruisers! All on light tackle! So fun, but also landed a 26.5” slot redfish to take home for dinner. What a fun trip!

1-149lb yft 12-American Red Snapper 1-Jumbo grey triggerfish Took a hr to find and catch or live bait, then We ran east down the beach 6 miles from pensacola pass , put out 2 large live cigar minnows on 60lb mono leader with a snelled 6/0 Lazer Sharp tournament approved circle hook in 30ft of water, I bump trolled the baits around for about 10-15 minutes before we got the sickest bite we could of ever witnessed!! The fish skied out of the water like 15ft in the air, wish I had it on camera. And proceeded to dump a ton of line instantly. National Geographic stuff! We fought the tuna for 1.5hr ( would of been less time with a International ?) , fish died at the end of the fight - sunk 2 gaffs in him and we proceeded to hooop and Hollar like 5 year old kids getting ice cream from the ice cream truck lol! I ran 5 miles south from there to get our snapper limit, which only took 20 minutes.

I just wanted to share our 2025 “ Fall Red Snapper Season Dates “ Sept. 1-14th Sept. 19-21st Sept. 26-28th Oct. 3-5th Oct. 10-12th Oct. 17-19th Oct. 24-26th Oct. 31st- Nov. 2nd Nov. 7-9th Nov. 11th ( veterans day ) Nov. 14-16th Nov. 21-23 Nov. 27-30th ( thanksgiving weekend) Dec. 5-7th Dec. 12-14th Dec. 19-21st Dec. 25-28th !! I suggest a 5 or 6hr trip so we can get into the red snapper and some other species mixed it. This would make a great gift for the man in your life , your brother, your father, or the woman in your life!
