? Let’s talk about how we fish & the jigs we use ? Many guests ask us what fishing method we focus on during our trips, so here’s a quick breakdown ? On our charters, we mainly do jigging, which is the most effective method in our waters. Depending on conditions and target species, we may also mix in live baiting and light bottom fishing, especially in offshore areas. ? Inshore Jigging Trips • Water depth: 15m – 35m, depending on the zone • Jig size: 30g – 100g Fun, fast action and suitable for beginners as well as experienced anglers. ? Phi Phi Island Zone • Water depth: 25m – 50m • Jig size: 30g – 200g A great balance of structure, depth, and fish variety — one of our most popular areas. ? Offshore Zones (Koh Haa / Hin Malay / Hin Daeng / Racha Island) • Water depth: 40m – 150m • Jig size: Up to 400g Deeper water, stronger currents, and bigger fish — best suited for experienced anglers. ? About the jigs & how we use them We use different jig profiles depending on water depth, current, and fish behavior: • Slim / long jigs – sink fast and are ideal for deep water and strong current • Wide / flat jigs – slower fall, more flutter, great when fish are less active ? Jigging techniques we apply • Slow Pitch Jigging Short rod movements with controlled lifts, allowing the jig to flutter and fall naturally. This method works very well when fish are inactive or holding close to the bottom. • Speed Jigging Faster retrieves with continuous winding and rod action to imitate a fleeing baitfish. Highly effective for aggressive predators in deeper or offshore waters. Our guides will always adjust jig type, weight, and technique on the spot to match sea conditions and maximize your chances of a hookup ? If you’re keen to experience proper jigging in the Andaman Sea, you know where to find us ? ? DM us for trip details ? Tight lines always!
