We had an action-packed day fishing the jetties at Ponce Inlet! The Redfish were fired up, and we put some nice ones in the boat using live pinfish on a Carolina rig. We adjusted weights between 1–3 oz to cover different water depths and keep the baits right where the Reds were feeding. The Pompano bite was steady as well, hitting on shrimp tails worked through the current. Between the Reds and Pompano, there was plenty of rod-bending action and smiling faces at the dock. The fish are here and biting — it’s a great time to get out on the water and experience the fun for yourself!

Halifax River & Ponce Inlet Fishing Report Snook season is officially open as of September 1st, and the bite has started strong. Anglers are already seeing quality action along the Halifax River and through Ponce Inlet. The jetties are producing some true monsters, with live mullet and pinfish proving to be reliable baits. For those preferring artificials, a Salt Strong prawn rigged on a ½-ounce jig worked near the bottom has been an effective way to hook into a personal best. Over in Spruce Creek, snook have been ambushing bait along the mangroves, offering plenty of opportunities for inshore action. Keep an eye near marina buoys as well—some hefty tripletail have been hanging around, and fresh cut ladyfish has been a top choice for bringing them boatside.

Fishing just outside the jeeties at Pince inlet just near daytona beach you can crush some sheepshead. However the redfish stumbled apon this area which was just the inshore pass an let me know redfish are on the move! He was hiding near a mangrove also near an oyster bed. Try throwing shrimp or snall crabs as bait!
