Our trip was apparently โone of those daysโ that donโt produce any fish.ย Itโs not that we couldnโt land them, they just werenโt there.ย Very few kelp beds, and those we found were small and without fish.ย We put bait in the water twice to no avail, even though we were fishing an area that had provided the limit the day before.ย Captain Zeke tried hard to find fish, but there were none to be found.ย Eight other boats had similar experiences on the day we went (only 4 fish landed across 9 boats), so we werenโt alone in our frustration.ย Captain Zeke did see a swordfish, but he disappeared before we could get rigged for it.ย We saw whales spouting, dolphins playing, and a sunfish doing what sunfish do, but nothing to catch.ย Our captain appeared expert, and our boat was capable, but it was an un-productive day./

Sorry you had a bad experience on the water! Most people would never experience the beauty you saw on and in the water! We work hard each and every day to hunt and kill fish! It takes a lot of preparation and planning. Zeke is at the top of his game and is indeed one of the most capable and reputable captains in this business. Every day is different as you said yourself the day before your trip Zeke got 20 yellow tail which is the limit for three plus the captain! Youโre welcome to come back anytime. We literally caught fish until we were to tired and sore to catch anymore, 50+ Bass and a yellowtail!!!
