We had a great time with Captain Hank and first mate Logan.  We were on the boat and traveling to the first reef (6-7 miles offshore) within minutes of pulling into the parking lot.  Captain Hank had 10 or more go-to spots and we caught fish at most of them.  The Captain apologized for the slow bite but we had fun and caught plenty of fish…probably 40-50 fish in the four hour trip.  We had great conversations about our families, football, things to do in the area, etc. and had some good music during the trip.  Captain Hank and Logan processed a bunch of fish for us to take and it was enough for several meals.  My family really enjoyed our time with Hank and we would strongly recommend him for anyone wanting to catch fish and have a great time.

Luckily we found Hank to be our captain for this unforgettable ocean excursion. He is very knowledgable and familiar with the spots both inshore and offshore. We caught around 60 fish in a 6hr trip and released the majority of it and only took several great catches back for christmas dinner. We also hook two sharks during the trip however got our lines broke during the fight, one of them might be 100lb+, which I fought it with my daiwa baitcasting reel and bfs ultra light rod. It was definitely a great time and will for sure go back to Hank next time. Oh, by the way, even though I sounded like an AI chatbot during the fight with shark, mubbling between I guess it’s a shark and It’s definitely a shark, this review is wrote 100% from a robust human writer, not a random AI generated review with high temperature. Most importantly, don’t treat the frog fish like your mother in law, it is the   best fish ever I tried with silky texture meat, definitely worth a try!

I went on my first private charter in St Pete with Hank and what a great experience i had. To start the boat was spotless, the fishing rods and equipment was top notch. Hank gave me some options on what to target and suggested that we head straight out to a few of his favorite reefs. This would be our best bet for good results. Trust me when a captain gives a suggestion for best results, listen and i am glad i did. We caught over 50 key west snappers , 2 spanish mackerel, one triple tail and a real nice 15 pound gag grouper. We also got broken off 4 times on big fish. Oh in case i didn’t mention earlier i went out solo. Thats what happens some time you win and some times the fish get away. When i come back to the area i will definitely book him again. Been fishing long enough in Florida to know it’s all about weather, temperatures, and time of year. So first week of August with choppy seas is less than ideal. Captain Hank told us conditions might make it hard, and had to deviate from the original plan. But he would try his best to get him back n some fish. We started pulling the fish up within 10 seconds of the first drop and didn’t stop. To top it off, I got to see my dad pull in one of his bucket list fish, a Goliath grouper. Reccomend 100 percent. And will be booking again to target some bucket list fish in the future. Also give a good shout out to hanks 14 year old son. Very respectable young man and we also got to seee him catch his first Goliath.

10/10 highly recommend!  We had fish on as soon as we stopped the boat and moved spots if the catch slowed down. We were pulling in a variety of fish one after another.  Captain Hank was laid back, helpful and had a good playlist. When the Captain called “Last Cast”, a large fish was hooked on one of the rods at the back of the boat and he handed it off to our 16 year old to reel in a nurse shark.  We were able to get pictures once the Captain pulled it onto the boat. Lifetime memories were made! When in the area, we are definitely going again.  And we will forever measure the size of our fish in the number of Tacos it will make. Captain filleted and bagged 17 fish for us to take home.
