Ninilchik Halibut Fishing Charters

If you want to know why this is the "Halibut Fishing Capital of the World," hop on and find out. This full day trip entails going out to target Halibut and delicious Rockfish. The crew will provide you with all the rods, reels, and terminal tackle you'll need, but make sure to have a valid Alaska fishing license with you. This is a shared trip, meaning that you will fish together with other anglers who booked the same trip. Trips are around 8 hours but are never exact.

Halibut trips take place from Homer, AK. The tides are some of the strongest tides on the planet, reaching 30 feet of movement. We plan every trip based on the tide time/size, so the start time varies each day. These adventures often include amazing wildlife viewing, beautiful scenery, and of course pounds of delicious Halibut fillets! Our vessel holds up to 6 fishermen and trips can last up to 8 hours. Halibut fishing is closed on all Tuesday's and Wednesday's in 2025. Homer Sales Tax included in pricing

You'll use the historic tractor launch in Ninilchik. The tractor launch experience in itself is truly unique as you're shoved into the Cook Inlet right in the heart of the prime Halibut fishing grounds. Keep in mind that, as this is a Halibut-only fishing trip, the departure times and location may vary. Please reach out to the captain prior to the departure date.

You have the entire boat for your group, up to 6 people. This multi-species trip can include Halibut, Salmon and Rockfish, depending on your group preferences. Contact the captain for further details and options.

Target Halibut on this 8-hour adventure. Captain Josh will cover your fishing equipment and clean your catch after the trip. Make sure to buy your fishing license and bring some snacks and drinks. The trip runs from 6:30 a.m. to approximately 2:30 p.m.

Pearl was launched on 4/02/24. She will comfortably seat 12 anglers; however, she can fish up to 16 for Halibut. As a 48' catamaran landing craft, NEWLY powered by Yamaha 350 motors, and loaded with top-of-the-line rods, reels, and tackle, she can get to the fishing grounds and safely handle big water when the weather turns. The cabin is a walk-around, providing ample elbow room and comfort and a cabin toilet. Halibut Commission has imposed a $25 fee for Halibut Stamp each angler/day available on Pearl.

Captain Alan Goins and Chaz Gustines are one-of-a-kind avid fishermen. Alan has been fishing the Cook Inlet his whole life and started his charter service in 1991 so he comes to you with a magnitude of experience and a lot of wisdom. Chaz came to us with three years of experience fishing with all of his military buddies in AK and has gained another two years under Captain Alan in the Cook Inlet. Join us on the saltwater Halibut fishing in the famous Cook Inlet to make your memories - a trip of a lifetime!

This is a shared trip approximately 8 hours in duration. We will target everyone’s halibut limit and then based on what’s in season and what’s biting, we’ll continue fishing for other species if there is time left in the day. This can include, rockfish, salmon, and pacific cod. If you want to catch halibut and have a great day fishing, this is your trip.

Go after all the species that are bitting. Our main targeted species on this trip are Halibut, Pacific cod(fish n chips) multiple species of rockfish and salmon!!! Have the whole boat to yourselves and enjoy a day on the water!
