Having grown up in a New England fishing family I can tell you that Capt. Mike is the real thing. Capt. Mikes instincts to read the water, bait, tides, and environment are readily apparent.  His work ethic to get you on the fish is his top priority.  We battled all day day to get fish on the boat when my son landed the first fish his first instinct was to hug my son enough said. Top 10 day.

My son and I took a fantastic trip fishing under the guidance of Capt. Mike.  Everything was ready when we got there, and we went straight out to some of the Captain’s favorite spots and trawled and then cast on an incredibly still ocean. A bucket full of Spanish mackerel later and many great conversations - we are completely satisfied and highly recommend the Native Son.

The Wife and I had a great time,  Bite started out slow but Cpt Mike put us on the fish , when he did the bite was steady, and we got a good workout. We caught a lot of Spanish Mackeral, released some and kept alot to freeze and take home. We also caught four bonita that are great for sushi. Good experience, great time, highly recommended. Captain Mike did a ton of moving to get us on fish.  Had a ton of fun and Mike was great with my son and was always nice to him and was very informative.  Would highly recommend

The trip I booked with Mike was a 6hr morning trip. For how hard the bite was due to water temp, Mike was still able to put us on the fish! As an angler from up north who has not experienced salt water fishing prior to this trip, we had a good day given the conditions. Very knowledgeable on what to throw to get a good experience.
