We booked an afternoon trip with Captain David and it was great! He brought us out to jig for Lingcod and Rockfish and we tried trolling too. Even though we only had 4 hours, he even brought us out to try and catch a couple salmon and check his crab traps! His stoke was infectious and he was ON trying to catch us fish. Super fun, would 100% recommend him to others wanting to experience Ukee on the ocean! We left with a bunch of fish and cooked one during sunset at long beach :)

Two of us booked for a couple of days with Captain David. Had a great time!. David is very skilled and knowledgeable and had so much energy and positivity. We ran into some rough weather on the first day and headed to calmer waters as one of us got seasick, but that is to be expected sometimes. David kept us going and we ended up with some good sized salmon. Second day got us more salmon and some halibut. I highly recommend Captain David and plan to book with him again next time!

Our family of five had the perfect fishing adventure with Captain David!  David has the right balance of skill, knowledge and professionalism, while also being a lot of fun to fish with.  He really went the extra distance to make this one for the memories.  Our catch included 10 Springs and 3 large Halibuts, and we also lost a couple of large Springs and released a huge Halibut and 3 wild Coho.  I highly recommend Captain David for your next fishing trip!

We had a great and productive day with cpt. David out in the ocean off Ucluelet. While keeping an attentive eye on navigation, steering and fishing equipment he was sustaining a genuine excitement of a fisherman. David is very knowledgeable in the waters and techniques that work. But most importantly - fishing ang guiding seems to be one of the things that he really enjoys himself doing even when seas get rough and getting some fish makes one work hard.

What a wild day on the water. First time out to the island for both of us and it was a fishing trip like none other. Captain David showed us the ropes, he was patient knowledgeable and had the best energy! The vibes on the boat were so good they were “FISHY” as captain David would say.
