The fees are all clearly listed upfront upon booking and we collect the balance on the day of the charter which is a cash price.  Smokin’ Hooks does not collect any extra fees after the charter nor do we have a $69 fee for park and recreation.

We completely understand that fishing was slower than normal.  We apologize not to meet your expectations on this and Captain Tyler did everything in his power to get you on the fish that were biting.  During your 1/2 day charter we got in a mix of Silver Snapper, smaller Red Grouper, and a Lane Snapper which is much less than our expectations for the charter as well.  There were environmental concerns on that particular day that we did not have present in the days leading up to your trip and no way to know this in advance.

In regards to the toilet, we have a very accommodating marine flushable toilet on the Parker boat your charter took place on. Most charter boats in our area do not have any toilet on board and that is actually one of our features that we keep up on regularly. It was recently pumped out and also the entire boat was fully detailed just 2-3 weeks ago on January 30th and then ongoing as our boats are fully cleaned each day.  If something did not meet your expectations with the toilet, again, we apologize but please bring it to our attention so the next guess does not have a terrible toilet.

In regards to the first mate, can you please communicate to let us know when this was a concern?  We have a first mate available upon request for select trips but do not advertise that trips have a first mate, nor was it presented in our conversations or confirmation. The majority of charter boats in our area do not run with a first mate unless it is a head boat, we are one of the very few that has this option but it is very rarely requested or even necessary as our boats are set up for very easy access to our customers.

Again, we truly apologize for any negative experience upon Smokin’ Hooks and do encourage our customers to reach out directly to us with any concerns that we have control in improving upon for our next guests.
