The captain & crew didn’t interact with us much at all and, in past experiences, the engagement with the captain crew can positively impact the experience. Especially given that the first 2.5 hours we came up empty handed. If this isn’t important to you, the boat and experience was totally fine and we did end up catching grouper and tile/white fish.

Booked 3 full day charters last week (Wednesday, Thursday, & Saturday).  All 3 days were amazing.  Capt. Alex put us on the fish every day and never stopped hunting all day long.  The crew on deck (David and Luis) treated us like family.  They never stopped working and always made sure we were trying new methods if things got a little slow.  Over the 3 days we ended up with 5 Yellowfin Tuna, 2 Mahi Mahi, 2 Sailfish, and 2 Blue Marlin.  We also had several other billfish and wahoo strikes that never hooked up - can’t win em all!  Not only was the fishing great, but the captain/crew/boat made this one of the most enjoyable and fun fishing experiences of our lives.

Alex and Luis did a great job on our 6 hour trip.  We left Tamarindo at 7:30 am and motored south west until 8:20 am. We had our first fish on before 8:30 and it was a beauty…a 300-350 lb marlin that put a great fight and show for 50 minutes until we got it to the boat and tagged and released it. Luis and Alex did an amazing helping make that happen!  In the next hour we got a 2 beautiful Mahi’s, a 20 lb and a 30 lb that led to some great dinners during out stay here !  The bite went quiet after than but Luis kept trying different baits and Alex kept us moving looking for fish.  It was a great day and we would definitely book with Alex and Luis again !
