My family and I had an amazing time fishing for halibut on the Black Pearl with Captian Forrest and his first mate, Ben. Their expertise in finding the best spots helped us catch not only our limit of halibut but also rockfish, cod, and salmon. They made sure everything went smoothly, and we truly enjoyed their company. Overall, it was a fantastic day on the water — pleasant, productive, and so much fun!

This conbo trip for halibut and salmon was great. My cousin and myself both got our limits on both the halibut (two each) and king salmon (one each). In addition we both also got one silver salmon each along with 2-3 pinks each, as well as a few rock fish. What a great mixed bag. As we both like to smoke salmon (pinks) and save all kings and silvers for our table fair meals. Really couldn’t ask for more.

Forest was knowledgeable, boat was very clean and well kept, equipment was in great shape. He went out of his way to make sure we caught the fish!! They kept our lines baited, working and so we could reel them in. If a spot slowed down we moved spots. If we wanted to try for a bigger fish we kept trying. We went out on a multi-species trip and had an outstanding day on the water. Zach and Lars really know what they’re doing and worked hard to get us a boat full of fish. The whole boat limited out on halibut, kings, and rockfish—plus a bunch of cod on top of that. Fun, professional, and clearly experienced. Highly recommend fishing with them if you want a productive and well-run trip.

What can you say about two days of fishing with Zack and Lars. FANTASTIC. The boat was clean and comfortable, the guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We caught a variety of fish resulting in never a dull moment. If fishing in Alaska is on your bucket I highly recommend fishing with Zack and Lars. Memories were made in those two days.
