I picked Capt. Rafa because his video seemed genuine and he seemed experinced.  Both turned out to be true.  Fishing was a little slow for all the boats, but my son and I caught fish.  And the captain took us to a spot passed over by others and had a trick up his sleeve that yielded a big one in the last few minutes of our 6 hour trip.  Experience counts!  Thaks for a fun day!  Plus he had non-diet coke in his cooler.

Did the four hour 7am fishing trip with Rafa. He was very personable and is a stand-up guy. Been fishing this lagoon his whole life and knows the waters well. He’s a real pro and expert! He worked tirelessly to catch tarpon — including chumming. We had many many bites but lost a lot of fish. Fortunately, we landed two and had a great time overall. If you’re interested in tarpon fishing near San Juan or Isla Verde, Rafa is the Captain to hire. Would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

Great trip! The captain was hardworking, friendly, and very hospitable. He kept us moving for the fish and made sure everyone had a good time. The refreshments on board were a nice touch, in the heat. Highly recommend this charter if you’re looking for a fun and well-run fishing experience.

Slow day, threw tons of different baits. Saw tons on tarpon breaching the surface. Didnt see any action on the other boats. Rafael did a great job putting us right in the middle of the fish though. only managed one spanish mackerel near shore. had a great time nonetheless!!! Will return to hunt down that big mamma!!
