On our way out we found some big schools of skipjacks but they were very shy.After a few turns we managed to catch one and decided to do a bit of live baiting. After about half an hour of trolling the skipjack got bitten by a wahoo the it followed the boat for a few seconds, which gave us enough time to get some wire cable and catch the 30kgs fish. It did give a nice fight before we could get it onboard.

We were out for a day trip and had a very quiet morning with almost no surface activity and very few birds.We trolled with lures hoping for a marlin,we kept trying and were rewarded just an hour before taking the lines out. It was a blue marlin that saved the day. Our customer was very patient and it paid off...

We started the trip on a rare glassy sea and headed straight into the deep waters where the schools of skipjacks had been seen regularly the past days. About two hours into the trip we had a strike on the shotgun lure and right away the marlin took to the air. After all the other lines were cleared,the fight started. Thirty minutes later the fish was in the boat.We continued to work the area and saw a big marlin jumping but it did not take a lure.We headed back with our catch of the day.

After many windy days we were able to check a usually good spot. On the way out there were some schools of skipjacks but did not catch any. We then moved to deeper waters where is was quiet with not many birds around and no surface activity and suddenly a fish took a shortcorner lure and the reel started screaming ,that put everyone on their feet.After a 40 minutes fight the fierce tune lost the battle. It weighed exactly 129.6 lbs(64.8 kgs)

Early into the trip we had a strike on the short rigger lure and half an hour of fight later found out that it was an estimated 200 lbs mako shark that had taken the lure.It was released as per regulations here in Mauritius. We saw some schools of skipjacks but they were bite shy.On the way back ,just before getting the lines in we were happy to hear a long corner reel screaming. At first we thought it was a wahoo but saw a nice sailfish start doing some acrobatic jumps.It almost got away close to the boat but the gaff went in just in time.

Started the trip with plenty of surface action with birds circling around and skipjacks jumping here and there but the fishes were very shy on the bite.We checked the deeper waters but it was quiet.So we decided to come back to the dropoff and target the wahoos. We headed back with two wahoos 18 lbs and 27 lbs
