- Background
- Growing up, I always had a passion for fishing. Being born and raised in Central Florida, I was always surrounded by some of the best fresh and saltwater fishing that the world had to offer. In 2008 I started working for an elite Alaskan charter outfit, Saltwater Safari Company. Starting as a deckhand on their vessels, I spent 4 seasons on deck followed by 5 seasons operating their vessels, the Legend & Legacy. In 2012 at the age of 22, I obtained my Merchant Mariners credentials as Master of Vessels up to 100 gross tons. When the summer season in Alaska comes to an end, I spend my winters back down in Florida where I guide tours in the Everglades. Also apart of our team is Captain Noah Wamsteker! Captain Noah hails from Mobile Alabama and have been apart of the our company since 2017. Working under Captain Bob predominantly, he had one of the best teachers in the game and learned so much about the fishery and the local knowledge of fishing out of Seward. Fishing is our passion and we would love to take you into our world and show you the beauty of Resurrection Bay and the Gulf of Alaska! FISH ON!
- Techniques
- Mostly bottom fishing for halibut. Typically use circle hooks and bait but also like to use artificial jigs. Will generally anchor for most species on some structure, sometimes drift when fishing for salmon or rockfish.
