Our captain Jose took us to an area and started trolling. We we’re able to grab 3 rooster fish within the hour. Unfortunately we also were down to our last live bait so we were only trolling one line and not getting any bites. We moved locations and the 5 guests were just sitting there twiddling our thumbs while the captain and mate fished. Finally I asked if I could get a rod to cast and they readily agreed so at least I felt like I was doing something. We moved again and were able to catch some additional bait and went back to “rooster cove” and again got one. We were running short on time so they put 4 lures in the water and went to one last spot a bit farther out. It felt a little like a Hail Mary attempt to get the last guest, me, on a fish and damn it if they didn’t make it happen! Got my first black fin tuna and it was awesome. Took it with me back to shore and the resort prepared it for us. It was literally the best tuna I’ve ever had so kudos to captain Hose and North Pacific Adventures!

If you are staying at Dreams Las Mareas or anywhere in the area, you absolutely need to take a trip on the Barbara. The guys were absolutely great and we had so much fun with them. We went fishing and caught some great fish. We also saw some beautiful rare sea turtles. At the end we spent a bit of time snorkeling. Couldn’t have asked for better guides. These guys absolutely know what they are doing and will try their best to give you some unforgettable memories.

Had a great time on a half day trip. Captains were awesome and we caught an 80lb rooster and a bunch of jacks!

The North Pacific Adventures team were first class. Captain Eduardo and Esteben worked tirelessly all day and kept me on fish. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip from start to finish. Would recommend them to anyone! Thank you again for a great trip.

We decided to book with them in late April and caught 2 rooster fish are first trip out with Jose ‘Choco’ and Stephon. We were struggling to find em but the last hour of the trip we able to catch some big roosters. The next day we booked again with just me and my girlfriend and we fished and snorkeled! Caught black tuna and found some cool finds!
