Jose was outstanding! We set out for Rooster fish and Jose delivered. First we had to catch a few jacks for bait which we did almost effortlessly on the way. We stopped to watch humpbacks breaching and manga rays, by the dozens, flying, flipping and flapping out of the water like they were having a party! We then caught our rooster and several jacks as we chased some boils in a feeding frenzy. Every time the lines went in, jacks came out. Caught a lot of smaller fish the first half (bait). 2nd half of the trip we got a lot of our lines bit off and didn’t catch much but the crew was still working very hard to keep things interesting.

We had 2 boats and both captains were awesome, we all had a great time. All together we caught 3 roosterfish and had at least 5 more break the line and get free. Only recommendation would be to have more live bait on board.

This adventure was the highlight of my vacation.  The captain and mate worked very hard in difficult conditions to make sure I got a few fish.  They were extremely professional and everything was top-notch.  I highly recommend North Pacific Adventures while you are in Costa Rica.  Besides the fishing - the views of the shoreline are awesome as well.

Fathers took sons out fishing and brought back barracuda for the family as well as caught tuna and mackerel.  They also viewed an orca and pod of dolphins.  Great day!
