We went out with Luis for a 3/4 day trip offshore. Had a great trip, had several small mahi hook up then come off. We kept working until finally hooking up with a sailfish. My daughter landed it and we had the pressure off. Maybe a hour later we hooked up again with a really large sail. After about a 20 min fight we landed it. My largest to date in Costa Rica or Mexico. We got right back to it and hooked up immediately again with another sailfish. After a short fight it was able to shake free.... Meer

My wife and I are very experienced fishermen and know how fishing can go. We did catch a yellowfin tuna and a mahi mahi (both bucket list fish). Had quite a few hits that didn’t hook up but I’m not sure how you can fault the crew for that!! The boat, equipment, and crew were top notch. And Captain Luis, you are too tough on yourself regarding your English skills!! We communicated just fine! I’d book with you again in a heartbeat!!! We had a great day with Luis and Shirley! Fishing was slow for us. Luis tried hard to put us on fish, he brought us to many different spots. We heard from a few other tours that they hadn’t been catching either. We did get a mackerel tuna and another fish but lost it reeling it in. The tuna was filleted on the boat and we took it all home with us. They were very professional and knowledgeable. The snacks and drinks were a nice bonus. Capt. Luis and Churri exceeded expectations.  They were able to put me on Sailfish (caught 2 in 1 1/2 hours of trolling).  Then I requested that we go inshore to try and catch Roosterfish.  Unfortunately we were not as lucky with the Roosterfish, but it was not due to the effort of the Capt… he is very experienced and tried hard… they just weren’t biting.

Captain Luis went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our trip. We wanted to catch fish we could bring to a restaurant and eat, and he put us right on grouper. As novice fishers, he helped us to initially hook the fish and we were able to reel them in until we were more comfortable doing it ourselves. While we didn’t have any success with our lines out for the bigger fish, the ride was beautiful and the fresh fruit and guacamole provided were delicious snacks. Would go again in a heartbeat!
