Captain Clint stayed in touch with us up until the trip, answering our questions and asking us about our experience level and hopes so that he could tailor the trip to our wants. He met us at the dock with a smile and the smiles never stopped all day! Had us on fish fast (my wife caught an 23” red on the very first cast of the day!) and kept us moving to stay on them. He also took the time to explain the behavior of the fish in his area and answering our questions. I had hurt my hand the day before when our car was totaled by a speeding truck as we went through an intersection. I wasn’t gonna let it stop me, but Captain Clint kept an eye on me and made sure I took a break and iced my hand when I was being too hardheaded to admit I was in pain. My wife’s first guided trip and she’s already planning on the next time we can come fish with Captain Clint! Absolutely recommend him! I’ll be back healed up and back soon!

Clinton was great to spend a day with and even with some choppy water he put us on fish. He definitely made sure he went out his way to cater to what we wanted out of the trip. We asked about gators so he took us that way out to make sure we saw some gators! And on the way back did the same and got us a chance to see one super close! My wife doesn’t fish much other than when I take her on these trips with me and he made sure he made her feel comfortable on the boat and did an awesome job making sure she caught her share of fish…(pretty sure she caught more than me) if your looking for a great Louisiana experience and someone with years of experience on that water look no further. We booked a charter with Captain Clinton for a corporate group off-site trip and the five of us caught fish. Our group ranged from avid fisherman to someone’s very first time fishing. We all caught fish and had a great time. Captain Clinton put us on fish despite less than ideal weather conditions. We had 20 mph sustained winds and choppy water but his 25’ center console was very stable and comfortable. Despite low expectations given the weather, we still ended up with 2 slot redfish, 5 black drum, 5 speckled trout, 5 channel catfish, and a sheepshead.  Brought 12 lbs of fillets to GW Fins for dinner that evening and even the restaurant was surprised to see we brought fish in that day given how windy it was.  Highly recommend Captain Clinton.

What really set this trip apart was the Captain himself. Not only is he a skilled fisherman, but his personality made the day even more enjoyable. As a Navy veteran, he gave my Marine son a good-natured ribbing, which made for plenty of laughs. His passion for fishing and ensuring his guests have the best possible experience is truly unmatched.

My family and I wanted to go on a fishing charter as part of our stay in the New Orleans area. Captain Clinton was above and beyond what we were looking for, the fishing was slow due to weather conditions but we hit every spot available throughout our full day charter. He made sure we covered as much lake as possible and was very helpful. His abundance of knowledge and instruction was great for all skill levels to learn from and have fun.  We caught many reds and a couple of blues! I can whole heartedly recommend him as a charter captain for anyone thinking of booking a trip or looking for a great day on the lake.
