We booked with Grand Slam but he was full and offered us to go on the Why Not boat and we accepted. Both the captain and his hand were fantastic. They worked their butts off the full 4 hour trip!

We knew it was end of season, but wanted our teen boys to experience this in Mexico with us, so took a chance. We ended up catching 5 gorgeous Mahi Mahi and lost a 6th during transfer to the boat. We also reeled in a 45lb Wahoo but its teeth cut the line before we were able to get it in the boat. All in all, they did everything in their power to put us on fish and make it a memorable experience. Can’t say enough great things about them!

My fiance and I were staying in playa del Carmen and took a ferry across to Cozumel. Where Grand Slam and its crew were patiently waiting just down the road a few hundred yards. Once lines were out we had a double on about 4 to 6lbs dorado and it never stopped. We fished for 8 hours starting at about 830 and the longest we went without putting a fish in the boat was about 45 mins. We had chances they just didn’t stick during that 45 mins around noon. We ended up with 17 dorado one of them was a big Bull mahi mahi about 35 lbs. We had another big one come off right at the boat. And one small barracuda. The crew never stopped working the rods and changing baits and since I am an experienced fisherman’s they ran me through their operations and had me letting out rods during a period where we put 6 fish in the boat and dorado were jumping and chasing our baits all around us. They kept stealing our baits and flying out of the water. It was just my fiance and I and it was something we will never forget.

We booked a 4-hour charter with AquaAdventures Grand Slam and initially hoped to target billfish. The crew gently discouraged deep sea fishing and recommended reef fishing instead, so we adjusted our plan and headed out for a reef trip.

Our morning started with a mix-up, and our charter had been accidentally overlooked. To their credit, the team addressed it quickly and had us on the water within about 20 minutes of our scheduled departure time.

This was my ninth saltwater fishing trip, and I understand how variable days on the water can be. I’ve experienced both incredible and slow outings — this one fell somewhere in between.

The crew worked consistently to keep lines active and bait fresh throughout the trip. They also prepared fresh snapper ceviche for us onboard, which was a thoughtful and enjoyable touch.

We landed three fish during the charter. While fishing conditions are never within the crew’s control, we appreciated their effort and professionalism throughout the morning.

This was out third time with this crew. The boat was on time and the crew and Captain were very nice and spoke English very well. They are fun and make you feel welcome.  These guys worked so hard and we had young Antonio that was learning the ropes and you could see the respect he had for his elder crew members Augusto and Captain Victor. You don’t see much of that work ethic and respect in North America anymore so it’s gives me hope for humanity. The fishing was very slow but these guys tried everything they could and about 5 minutes before we got to our Pier to finish our trip they hooked into a nice sailfish.  that’s fishing for you but any day fishing beats a day at work. Will be fishing with them again in the future that’s for sure.

We had a great day on the water. We were scheduled to fish Saturday but the weatger was not looking good so Pedro helped us switch to a Monday trip. Victor and Agusto were friendly and worked hard to make sure we had a great day. we caught 1 huge Wahoo, 5 Mahi Mahi, 6 Baracudda, 1 Tuna, 1 Banita and 2 Rainbow Runner. We will book again.
