Nick and Gavin were fantastic. Our group consisted of my wife and I, our 26 year old son and his fiancée, and our 22 and 17 year old sons- everyone had varying level of experience fishing and barely any of us had ever been on a boat. Nick and Gavin were patient and taught us how to fish. They did all the work and let our group really enjoy the trip.  Pre trip communication was amazing, with fast response times and clear answers.  Would highly recommend fishing charters of San Diego.

Went out on the Double Down 4/6/2025.  Caught some great Rockfish!  I believe it was Captain Gavin and apologies, but I forget our deck hands name, but they took great care of us.  Got us on fish, angled best we could for currents and rocky bottom, and came up with a great catch.  Helped us out tremendously, since we had first timers on board.  Wonderful day out on the water, accommodations were plenty enough, and made some great fishing memories.  What more can you ask for?

Everything was perfect! The boat, the gear, the knowledge of the crew, and the extra effort by the captain made our experience a day that we will never forget. We caught enough fish to have a large neighborhood fish fry and to fill our freezers. Double Down is the real deal! I score them a 10 out of 10!

We had a great trip! Captain Gavin and his crew were the best. I took my 2 sons (7 and 9 yrs old) out and they were had the best time. We caught lots of fish and my boys had constant help and instruction throughout the entire trip. Overall, it was a great experience and would highly recommed!

Bryan and Nick were amazing! they were friendly and made the trip so fun! when the fish stopped biting in one spot, Bryan drove to another right away and we began catching more. We caught probably close to 50 fish between the 4 of us and some really cool ones. we enjoyinf seeing the sealions too!
