Josh and the Early Riser (2019 North River) was amazing! Super nice equipment and spacious boat, with a table and bench seats it fits 6 comfortably inside.  I myself caught around 30 fish, with 10 of them being Halibut over 20lbs. Josh had a good plan for catching multiple species of fish, but also let us decide when we wanted to switch spots or fish.

Jordan was a fabulous captain!! He was friendly, knowlegdeable and professional; he knew the waters well and took us to a spot where we were successful fishing. After the boat limited out, he took us to Seldovia and while we toured the town he fileted our fish, saving us money. Thank you, Jordan, my husband and I had a wonderful trip with you!!

We had an absolute blast with Captain Josh! He was knowledgeable, courteous and a great all around Captain & Deckhand! Super familiar with the Gulf of Alaska waters, Josh put us on two fishing holes loaded with Halibut, Rockfish, and we even caught a couple Yellow Eye’s and Cod! The Early Riser had a very comfortable cabin, updated feel and safe vessel. Convenient head inside the cabin. Top notch equipment rods/reels. Man, what an awesome day on the water with Captain Josh. We had a party of six on his boat and he handled it flawlessly. He got us to the fish, gave thorough instructions, and have pretty much convinced me that Homer is the city I want to move to in Alaska!!! Super knowledgeable and engaging, but here was nothing negative about this trip whatsoever. Thank you again Captain Josh and the amazing group I went out fishing with today. The boat is great, nice and warm when needed. Captain Josh was fantastic. My husband and I went out for a full (8 hr) shared Halibut charter and we’re thrilled with the catches. Huge halibut, cod, black rockfish and even some other species. Saw whales (even a breaching), tons of otters and a bald eagle. Would definitely go again!
