We had a great time trolling the ocean with Captain Mathi and Ben. Unfortunately, we didn’t land any fish (got a nice bite, but we lost it!). The day was still great, as we got to explore some really awesome parts of the island that would have otherwise been inaccessible for us tourists. We had a great time fishing with Matahi - unfortunately, we didn’t catch any fish, but it was nice to be out on the water. We saw a lot of Moorea from a different perspective and learned a lot about the island from Matahi.

We had the best time! Captain Mathi and first mate Ernesto were just lovely humans to begin with nevermind being wonderful fishermen, conversationalists and hosts. We enjoyed catching two skipjack tuna and spending the day on the boat. They took us to a reef where we got to swim after fishing. We pet rays and saw lots of reef fish and sharks. A great way to spend a day!

Beautiful calm morning with a stunning boat ride. Waves were really awe inspiring. The weather and views were better than our luck this day, but the effort Ben and Matahi gave was really impressive. We searched all over looking for the big one, but ended up empty handed. I would go with these two again in a heartbeat though! Very nice, good conversation, extremely knowledgeable fishers and boaters, and even helped with some Moorea logistics/advice for our other adventures on the island. 5 stars... Meer
