Gael and his first mate were great! Although it was windy and a bit rougher than expected, we landed this awesome tuna! My husband and I fish alot at home in New Zealand, but we loved seeing the traditional Moorean way to fish. That’s how we caught that amazing tuna. We finished the trip with a delicious lunch on the boat on the lagoon.

Moorea Fishing Adventures was great! We trolled and caught some skipjack. Caught a nice yellowfin by bouy fishing. Stopped at a sandbar for lunch. Food was delicious and best food we had on island. Captain and crew were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Booking with this group is a must!

Capt Matahi and team were knowledgable and knew what they had to do to get us on the meat! A quick 4 hour trip and we caught 2 ahi by handline and 1 bonito on the troll. First time fishing handline style and it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this charter.

Took a family trip fishing- sons 12 and 13 + wife.
Captain Guile (so?) and first mate Tau got us on a monster marlin in less than an hour. It took everyone in the boat to pull that fish in. 3+ hours later, we finally landed it- a 10’, 500+ lb monster!!

Captain and Mate are great.  PERIOD!  Awesome service and just really good people. Picked us up at a local pier and we were fishing in 10 minutes.  Boat was very clean and the 130 and 80 shimano reels were full of fresh line.  Had a wide assortment of trolling lures but we only needed to use 3.  These guys know their stuff because they have been fishing here their whole life.  On the way out said look for birds 2 or 3 black birds it’s a Marlin.  White birds mean mahi.  Flock of birds tuna. Well in 20 minutes we were actively chasing a white bird.  What did we see cruising the surface big bull mahi mahi.  It didn’t bite because super calm but we had a shot and they worked real hard to get it to bite.  Fast forward 20 minutes.  We spotted 3 black birds and started to work that area.  We were swapping fish stories and one of the 130s goes down.  Then it went slack.  Started jigging the line and boom it went tight again.  Then it went slack again.  They hand jigged the line for the next 5 minutes while I was watching this dark shadow stalk our lure.  Then we got tight again and this time the line screamed off the reel for about 2 straight minutes.  Reel was stripped of 75% of its capacity.  Then the hard work started.  I fought the fish for about an hour and when we got it close to the boat the harpoon and gaff were in it.  We got it on board and the celebration began.  New personal record 250lb Marlin.  I am not used to harvesting Marlin but they sell the fish to the market for the locals and the head is donated to the school for kids with disabilities to be turned into soup and meat.  When I stated earlier these guys are just good people I meant it.  We trolled for another hour before my wife asked to head in.  The day didn’t end.  How about pulling up to a beautiful sand bar and then they prepared an amazing meal with local ingredients and tasty fish.  Food was better than a few of the restaurants we tried. Sting rays and black tip sharks circled the boat and we would have swam with them but we just did that same thing yesterday.  If you are doing the swimming with the sting rays excursion save your money and just go with these guys.  You can fish, have a great meal and swim with wildlife for the price of one.  As for price…. very fair.  I have booked charters across the world and these guys are below average cost and literally the best service.  If you are in Tahiti take the ferry over to Moorea and use these guys.  Thank you for an amazing experience!!!
