5 People was too much. We had lots of communication ahead of a day with myself and 4 teenage boys to bottom fish for dinner. Boat has 2 rods for trolling and two for bottom fishing. It’s called fishing and not catching and we only landed one small snapper but my prior experiences were with boats that hit more productive spots and had the equipment to handle the day. Advice to myself for next time…get a bigger boat that can get to better spots and has the equipment for the group they... Meer

Booked 5 hour afternoon tour. Website says final payment in cash or PayPal. 2 hours before the trip the captain called and begged for cash versus PayPal. Had to scramble to find ATM. Returned to Herradura after four hours because the water taxi guy goes home at 5 pm. Had to argue with crew and owner about paying for 4 hours and not the 5 that was sold to me. Miachel the website indicates for Pm trips we start at 12 Pm. You arrived at 1 pm. And the Taxi boat service does end at 5pm. Which is why we try to start fishing by 12. I apologize if there was any misunderstanding about payment. We do offer Zelle and PayPal as options for payment.

I get it, it is called fishing not catching. But to troll an area for 4-5 and catch nothing. Never being involved the whole time, made the trip seem like 12 hours on the water. Also, we were the only boat trolling the area we were in. Might be a sign there are no fish to be caught. Would have been happy to try and cast and fish. At least we would have felt we were invited involved. I mean it is Costa Rica! This is where people go to fish, and catch!!!

I booked a bottom fishing trip and they would not do that. They wanted to troll only. (Guess they didn’t want to lose any tackle.) I was on my honeymoon and wanted my wife to catch some fish which is pretty easy to do bottom fishing. They didn’t have the tackle or bait for bottom fishing. We caught zero fish and the captain was not cooperative or very nice. I definitely would not recommend them.

Stewart I am sorry that you feel this way. We try to accommodate all customers. And we have been very successful. But to say we are not cooperative and not nice, I feel that was incorrect. We go above and beyond to please our customers. As for not catching anything, that was an incorrect. You had 3 fish hooked, that you could not pull in.
