The captain, Alfredo, has local knowledge and was willing to go much further than our first trip, with a different company, because he knew the chances of finding fish at the farther location was better. He changed methods of fishing until we caught fish. We caught many more than the other boats near us. After we returned, the fish was cleaned, vacuum packed, frozen and delivered to our hotel. Captain took us out pretty far and we were hitting some bass and red all @5 lbs. We stayed a couple huors and then took us to one of his spots off the outlying islands and caught a 30Lb Yellow tail! Once we got back they fileted, vaccupack everything and we were off to have a great dinner. We had a blast and would highly recommend Rubio!

They were very nice, but there are definitely areas they could improve, especially regarding service, cleanliness, and the condition of the safety equipment. The captain also smoked quite a bit, which was uncomfortable at times. However, I have to say that his knowledge, experience, and patience were truly exceptional. In fact, he is so good at what he does that you eventually stop focusing on the small issues. If your main goal is to fish, this is definitely the right choice.... Meer

Carlos is a great captain. He knew where to take us to find the fish. He was very nice and funny. My husband and I fish a lot and this was one our best trips! There were a lot of fish caught and laughs had. After fishing, Carlos took us to a beautiful beach to explore and we got into a school of dolphins that played along our boat. It was incredible! We are coming back in September and really hope to have Carlos as our captain again!
