We had the best fishing experience with Edmundo and John. They put us on grande amberjack and triggers for some fun action. We caught 2 grande Amberjack (30+ pounds) and 2 medium jacks in 4 hours.
The guys had our cooler on the boat and ready to go, and they were a blast to fish with. They kept the energy up and provided an amazing experience for the family. We had intermediate to novice fisherman on board and they were great at showing the guys how to fish the jacks and triggers.
I would recommend these guys for anyone looking for fishing in Mexico. They know how to put you on the fish.

Wow, what an amazing day we had with Captain Edmundo and his family on their fishing boat! He really went to every effort to make our day extra special - he even made sure to bring extra beer for this thirsty Scotsman!

A 6 hour trip was perfect for us - I would recommend this or longer if you want to have the best experience. We fished for a few hours (catching a King Mackerel and a Barracuda!) before stopping to snorkel with sea turtles and sting rays. Then Edmundo took us a short trek through the jungle to a fresh spring where we swam and cooled off. Upon our return to the boat, two freshly made ceviche’s made with our catch were waiting for us on arrival (prepared by Edmundo’s grandfather) - and wow were they delicious!

If you are looking for more than just a standard fishing trip then Captain Edmundo and Juancho 1 is a 10/10 must book! It’s easily the best fishing trip money can buy in PDC!

Had a fantastic experience aboard the Juancho. We went out earlier this morning around 9:00 a.m. and were able to hit some beautiful snorkeling areas in half Moon Bay where we saw manta ray, sea turtles and some beautiful fish.

They knew exactly where to go and we’re very friendly and accommodating with fresh beverages and snacks. On the way back we fished and caught barracuda, mahi mahi, and kingfish.

I couldn’t have thought of a more perfect day. They were fantastic fisherman and we’re awesome enough to take us to some cool snorkeling spot and secret cenote. This is an experience that we will never forget. It was majestic. I highly recommend this crew fantastic group of people with great personalities.

The fishing was so good I had to go twice, I consider myself a very experienced angler, when I met the captain and crew I knew I wanted to fish with them, they had quality gear as well as many spots to fish. I will 100% be going out on the Juancho 1 next time I’m in Playa.

The trip was great! The crew was patient and taught my brother-in-law how to use the equipment because it was his first time ever going fishing, and they worked hard to get my son catching fish, and he caught several. I got to bri g in a pretty good size barracuda, which was a lot of fun. They also were very easy-going and asked us what we wanted to do. We fished the vast majority of the trip, but also did just a little snorkeling.  Overall, it was a great day, and I highly recommend going out with these guys!
