Background: Captain JMay….I have over 25 years of fishing and boating experience. After retiring from Gaston County Police Marine Enforcement Unit, I decided to follow my passion and dedicated myself to guiding fishing trips. I also fish several king mackerel tournaments a year with the SKA tournament trail.
Techniques: My charters are based 3 miles to offshore (50-70) mile range. Our charters also consist of deep drop bottom fishing reefs as well. We do a combination of everything to make your trip just the way you want it!

What an outstanding experience! Captain Jason May worked his magic and we brought home a haul of fish! Caught a couple tournament size King Mackerel in addition to some hugeTriggers and Vermillion Snappers. Jason went above and beyond to make this a memory for a lifetime.

Jason and his first mate Ronald were the best! Both fun and funny! My boyfriend and I had been after Mahi for over a year now and were finally able to snag them with these guys! Long, fun and successful day out on the water. We will definitely book again when we’re in the area!

Cant recommend them enough!! Great time with great people! Put us on the fish all day. Baited our hooks as soon as we needed it. Was helpful with anything we need. Fun vibe, played music about the whole time. Great trip 5 stars!

Can’t say enough good things about Captain May and our trip. We had an absolute blast on our deep sea fishing trip and Jason made us feel like family. He knew all the good spots to hit. We will without a doubt be back again. Do yourself a favor and book your trip with first response, you won’t regret it! Only way to go in the Myrtle Beach area.
