I have been avidly fishing local waters around Vancouver and Vancouver Island since I was a little boy. I still feel like that little boy when I am out on the water chasing Salmon. I just love sharing, teaching, and guiding anglers of all experience levels. I feel lucky to get the opportunity to share the beauty of our local area as well as the bounty of our Salmon and Crab fishing with guests from all around the globe. I enjoy watching the big smiles of kids of all ages hook into and fight a wild Pacific Salmon. I am an airline pilot by profession but my passion is fishing and in particular Salmon fishing on the ocean. You are in great hands with me or one of my professional guides. Pursuit Sport Fishing has been in operation since 2012.
Techniques
We mainly troll with downriggers with artificial and frozen bait. We will also cast light tackle to schooling salmon seasonally as the runs permit.

We are enjoying excellent salmon fishing for chinook and coho salmon now. Chinook salmon are catch and release until August 1 but retention of coho salmon is available. Crab fishing has been slow. Book now while as we are filling up fast.

Currently, the chinook fishing is exceptional. Although it is catch and release only we are having amazing catches of chinook salmon. Crab fishing has been decent. This is a great opportunity to create memories. Take some great photos and have a wonderful day perhaps doing something youโ€™ve never done before.

Weโ€™ve been having some very good chinook fishing the last month here in local waters around Vancouver. Trolling a variety of artificial spoons and squid patterns have been producing on the Tide changes. Crab fishing has been average and prawn fishing has been good.
