I was looking forward to this trip with Captain Robb and he did not disappoint.  He did everything he could to put us on fish and we got bites at every stop.  We probably caught about 6 different species and 6 or 7 were keepers.  He filleted them out for me so I could take them home.

Captain Robb’s boat is very sturdy and well suited to in-shore, bay, and gulf fishing.  The equipment we used was in good working condition and there was plenty of live bait on-board so we did not run out.  I wanted to learn about in-shore fishing so I really liked that Robb was more than willing to share his knowledge and experience.  I can’t wait to book another trip and highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have a great time fishing in this area.

Met up with Rob and had an excellent day from word go. The fishing and conditions were tough with the wind we were fighting and had to wait on the fish to decide to eat. He is a very personable person a so we spent a lot of the day just chatting away waiting for something to take a bite. We tried multiple spots and he did a great job of trying to put me over fish. After a couple hours of chatting with no bites we hooked up a nice sheepshead- tons of fight and lost two others. The bite died as quickly as it happened so we tried some other spots in the wind without much luck. He asked if I wanted to try our first spot of the day before we went in and I was”you bet”. First cast and I hooked up a nice big redfish- tons of fight- amazing time. Couple casts later a speckled trout, then a flounder, then he caught another good redfish. All a big flurry coming at the end of the trip. I gave myself one more shrimp to try to find one more fish- we all know how that goes- throw and throw that thing til it falls off in pieces then you call it a day- but no, first time in my life I’ve caught something really nice on a “last cast”- an even bigger redfish that after landing we put back for another day. Could not recommend Rob more. Have him take you out- you will have a blast!!

I have been in several charters and Gidalist by far exceeded my expectations. Captain Rob was AMAZING for our charter. We went to multiple different spots to cast in. He had no problem helping my husband as an inexperienced angler and even didn’t mind helping me out in difficult spots as well. He was kind enough to let us leave earlier than the proposed time and keep us out on the water for as long as we wanted.

In the AM we left weeks bay and started fishing in mobile bay, then ventured east towards the inter-coastal. We stared catching some reds near oyster bay when a thunderstorm blew up between us and the boat ramp. We had an important commitment in Mobile to attend at noon. Instead of running us through the storm Robb called his wife in Fairhope to pick us up at Lulu’s and drive us back to our car. We made it back to Mobile dry, safe, and on time. That’s customer service!

I was looking forward to fishing in the Mobile Bay area during a recent business trip and hoping to land some nice inshore fish. This booking offered a great deal for a one person charter and all the review I read were positive so I knew this was the one for me. Captain Robb had everything ready to go when we arrived and it wasn’t long I was landing some nice fish! Once back at the dock my fish were cleaned and pack for my flight back home later that day. I highly recommend Robb if you’re looking to fish in the Mobile Bay area.
