We didn’t know what to expect. 4 guys from Ohio never been on the ocean fishing. But, came away after 5 hour trip with about I want to say 50 different type of fish and it was the best time ever on a charter
What can be said about Captain Dave not enough we can say in this review Amazing if all you want to do is just catch fish he knows where the fish are and he took care of everything. And he turn us on to a very nice restaurant that if you take your fresh catch they cooked the fish and we it was the best fish we ever ate. Total day was the best in a long time thanks to Captain David. Definitely 5 Star Highy Recommend and very good music!

We booked a 5-hour charter with Dave on 10/14 for my cousin’s 50th birthday.  There were six of us and we had an awesome time!  We started out about nine miles off shore.  The waters were very choppy and a few us (including the birthday boy) got sick, but, the snapper was snappin!  Unfortunately, Dave advised us that it was out of season so we had to throw them all back.  We moved to more calm, shallow water.  There we caught a few shark, and one or two whiting and croaker.  We only walked away with two shark for all of our efforts but it was not a bust, and well worth the 11-hour drive from Maryland.  Dave was very helpful, professional, and a really cool dude.  He worked hard for us to get the fish we caught.  We were all first time fishers.  I would definitely book again with D&R Charters!  Thanks, Dave!

This was a first-time fishing experience for almost the entire group and Capt. David and mate Blake were excellent in leading us on a great trip.  The duo was very attentive and did everything necessary (i.e. going to the right spots, keeping our lines baited, etc.) to get a lot of catches.  Our haul included a 48 lb cobia, two 5-6 ft blacktip sharks, and lots of red snapper (which we couldn’t keep because of the season).  Even though it was our first experience, we are already talking about doing more trips, and D&R Charters set a high hurdle to clear!

We had a ton of fun and would definitely recommend the experience!

Capt David and Blake took me and my son out for a 5 hour offshore trip.  They were very welcoming the moment we met them at the dock, and were very knowledgeable of the surrounding waters.  They knew exactly what was biting and where to find them.  They offered expertise help to both of us as we fished throughout the morning.  I will definitely book another trip with D/R in my future vacations to Amelia Island!

David and Blake had us on fish quickly and constantly. We had 4 lines in the water most of the time and fish on all of them. Good variety of species, some solid fighters that kept things exciting. Both Captain and Mate were courteous and professional and made the trip fun and exciting. Constant action, only down time was the trip out and in; literally catching fish the rest of the time. Couldn’t recommend more highly.
