I can’t speak highly enough about this fishing charter. The combination of a knowledgeable captain and crew, high-quality equipment, and an abundance of fish made it an unforgettable trip. Read this- I’ve been fishing all my life including tournaments and leisure. I’ve been out on plenty of charters in the state of Florida and South Georgia. By far this was the best. David, the captain told me that December fishing was no joke and he couldn’t have been more right. Boat is smooth and very comfortable for our 12 hour trip. Pictures speak for themselves. We caught fish allllllll day!! If you are trying to figure out who to use, stop your search as this is who you want to go with. David knows every spot you can imagine! Every single place he knew primary species of fish biting and that’s what we pulled up. Hands down best charter you could ask for.

We have been on more than a dozen fishing trips with D&R Charters over the past 5 years (i.e., since moving to the area) and every one of them has been awesome! Our outings have ranged from 4 hour jaunts to the jetty and local ship wrecks to 12+ hour trips 80 miles out to the continental shelf. Our groups have varied from random family members visiting to a group of lady friends who like Snapper to some serious, experienced fishermen interested in catching specific fish.

Regardless of the type of fishing excursion, our experience has been the same (i.e., AMAZING)! David has been our Captain and we can’t say enough great things about him. He is knowledgeable, experienced, hard-working, and professional! David listens to your request, gets to know the individuals within the group, and does everything he can to deliver a great fishing experience for each and every person onboard! He is a seasoned angler who is committed to helping his guests catch fish! His boat is immaculately clean, his techniques seem effortless, and his work ethic is impressive!  David is smart, personable, and fun! It’s obvious that he loves what he does and he wants everyone on the trip to love it too! We have recommended D&R Charters to a number of friends and they too have had similarly great experiences (evidenced by repeat excursions like us)!

Through these experiences, David has become a friend. He has watched our sons grow and develop into young men over the past 4-5 years and we have rejoiced in his life events (from family to work to fun)! As I mentioned above, we can not rate and/or recommend D&R Charters any higher! We will continue to book them for all of our offshore fishing experiences (that says it all)!!!

Our family has fished with Captain David for several years at least once if not twice a year. His boat is extremely clean, his crew is top notch, and his humor and play list are the best! We’ve been on a lot of different charters with other captains and David and his Ring Money crew are far superior.  Captain David goes above and beyond to make sure that everyone on the trip has a good time.  My kids have always loved shark fishing with him and my husband enjoys the meat fishing trips.  He is very knowledgeable about the different types of fish and is extremely patient if you are not the best at casting and reeling (that would be me lol!) You won’t find a better charter boat or captain to fish with in Northeast Florida or Amelia Island than Captain David!  Happy fishing!

Captain David was so great with our 3 rambunctious kids. They got queazy for a moment and he immediately moved us to calmer water and continued to show us a great time. We caught lots of fish and had them fried up for a delicious dinner! Highly recommend!
