Good baits, good weather and Great anglers! Fish bit well and not too much triuble with sharks although we had a few big fish get taken by those sharks.

Opening day of federal Red Snapper season and the fish didn’t disappoint! All anglers had their hands full with these beautiful, hard fighting fish! Even the younger anglers were very successful on this 5 hour charter!

Walt brought his fam out for a morning charter to catch some dinner and was met with great success! Jared, Caden and Jace all captured Vermilion Snappers and we kept about 30 for dinner. Thanks afain, Walt!

Ben and Debbie returned to fish on the mighty Double Time and we captured 3 different species of delicious snappers forthe table! Seas were fair and the bite was actually a little slow due to the snappers still being in roe, but I hit some special spots and we capitalized on some great dinner fare. Somehow we managed to stay away from the sharks ans dolphins as well. All in all the Red Snapper season is off to a good start here in the northern Gulf and the bait boat is packing good minnows every day so the customers can exercise the option to buy bait instead of spending the time to catch it, makes for more fishing time! This was a 5 hour charter which seems to fly by in an instant, but a very popular trip.

Patti, Mona and Mr. Jerry came out to play with the fishes on Double Time and we captured some nice dinner for a short morning trip in the Gulf of Mexico. The ladies are always hard to best but even Jerry did well. Enjoy the fresh seafood, guys and gals!

Longtime customer Steve Orlando and buddy Brian came out on the mighty Double Time for a 5 hour charter to hopefully catch some lunch and dinner and were not disappointed! We started out trolling for Spanish Mackerel and caught 4 in about 10 minutes and then we headed out into the Gulf for some bottom fishing. Very slow start as it was dead bottom of the tide and we were only catching Ruby Lips but then the bite picked up and we started getting the Mingos (Vermilion Snapper) to bite. We ended up with 21 Vermiions, 4 Spanish and a Chocolate Porgy, more than enough for their lunch and dinner AND a huge plate of fish for me, all of which Brotula's Restaurant cooked up for them! We also caught and released a few Red Snappers just for good measure!
