The fishing on Lale Okeechobee has been good with some good numbers and quality size bass in between the cold fronts. Today father and son got to get out with me for their first time on Lake O and they had a blast catching around 20 bass. They caught em on a Gambler 6” burner worm and with some of the better size fish coming on swim jigs. This upcoming week we have another major cold front coming in thats goin to last for at least a week which will slow the artificial bite down and live wild shiners would be the best bet. Capt Rich.

January 10th 2026. I had some customers that really wanted to catch some peacocks with the cooler water temps we knew it might be tough on the bite. We got plenty of bass and clownknife fish to bite to make up for the peacockbass. I’ll be back out on Lake Okeechobee the up coming week as the bass fishing has really picked up.
