MIAMI FISHING REPORT – Catch & Release
Februari 16, 2026
Partly sunny skies, light east breeze, steady current pushing just enough to keep the baits moving right in the strike zone. Water clean with good visibility. We set up on known shark grounds, heavy tackle out, fresh cut bait deployed, rods staggered at different depths. Drags set. Clickers on. Waiting for that freight train run. Sharks had other plans today. No hookups on the target species, but that’s fishing, not catching. Tides were moving, bait was presented right, scent trail was flowing. Sometimes the big ones cruise through, sometimes they ghost you. Today they stayed ghost. To keep rods bending, we worked the bottom structure and had action from: • Bonito • Lane Snapper • French Grunt • Rock Hind • Slippery Dick Wrasse All catch and release. Healthy fish sent back down strong. Some days you battle giants. Some days you scout for the rematch. The ocean always keeps you humble, and that’s part of the addiction. We’ll be back on the hunt. ??

Fishing Report – Scale House Vibes Editi
Februari 15, 2026
Miami showed up breezy today, upper 70s, mostly cloudy, steady wind putting a little attitude on the water. Inshore was workable. Offshore had that “earn it” kind of chop. Inshore Grind: • Barracuda – Nice keeper class fish. Came in hot, put on a show. Customers chose to release. Respect. Let that silver torpedo live to fight another day. • Mangrove Snapper – Quality mangroves off structure. Had to fish smart and tight. • Sea Trout – They were THERE. Circling, flashing, inspecting the bait like critics at a food festival… but wouldn’t commit. That’s pressured fish with a breeze pushing water around. Sometimes they ghost you before they bless you. • Puffer Fish – Couple little surprise guests keeping rods busy. Offshore Run: Made the move, but conditions weren’t ideal. With that wind and no live bait in the spread, it wasn’t the setup for a wide-open bite. Live bait definitely would’ve increased the action in that sea state, but we played the hand we were dealt. Overall? We adjusted. We read the water. We kept lines tight. Some days it’s fireworks. Some days it’s chess. Today we played chess and still bent rods. That’s how we do it. ???

Biscayne Fishing Report – Catch & Releas
Februari 13, 2026
Beautiful day out of Biscayne. Sunny skies, temps in the high 70s, light breeze, and clean water. Comfortable conditions and steady movement on the surface. We got into some solid action throughout the trip. The bottom bite produced steady grunts, keeping the rods bending early. We also caught a few remoras, always a fun and unexpected fight. Those fish might hitchhike most of their lives, but they’ll still put a bend in the rod when they decide to eat. Late morning we connected with a strong kingfish. Big first run, clean fight, and that one made it into the cooler. Fresh kingfish for dinner — that’s how you finish a trip. Overall: • Steady action • Multiple species • Comfortable weather • Productive day on the water Biscayne showed up today. #ScaleHouseVibes #ScaleHouseCharters ??

Biscayne Fishing Report – Scale House
Februari 11, 2026
Monday out of Biscayne the mahi were chewing. Clean blue water pushed in around 150–200 ft with a nice color change and light east wind 10–12 knots. Seas 1–2 ft, easy ride. Found fish on weed lines and debris, mostly 5–12 lbs with a few solid bulls mixed in. Ballyhoo and bright skirts got it done. Once you found the current seam, it was game time. Yesterday the reef lit up. Bonitas were fired up in 80–120 ft crushing feathers, and the vermilion snapper were steady on the deeper ledges 140–200 ft. Had to stay vertical with the drift, but once dialed in it was drop and bend. Water’s clean, bait’s around, and Biscayne’s acting right. If the weather holds steady, we staying on that bite.
