Trust Capt Evan. We audibled because the wind and waves were too high for offshore. inland was a lot if fun and fish were biting at every stop. not as big of fish but a ton of fun.

If fishing in Feb/early March be prepared for windy and brisk conditions. even when the sun is out it can be cool. As a Florida resident I also caution folks escaping the cold to be careful about a sunburn even on a cool breezy day. Fish with Clay- Have a great day!

Wait for good weather, but don’t be discouraged if you start slowly in the morning. When the water warms up in the sunlight around 1-2pm, it’s magic hour. Fish by the oyster beds, sand bars and docks. Shrimp should do the job as bait, but others can be effectively used. The mangroves were especially good mid-day.
