South Padre Island: Redfish, Sharks & Mi

Action-packed day from the get-go! I took Juan out for a 5 Hour (AM) Bay Fishing Trip with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures in South Padre Island, TX. We hit the water in the early morning, ready to make the most of our summer outing. The weather started off a bit iffy, but it cleared up nicely in the afternoon. There was a chance of strong storms, but luckily they held off during our trip. South Padre Island's waters were calling, and we were eager to see what they had in store for us. Once the stage was set, we got down to business. We mixed it up with some surf fishing, pier fishing, and even ventured into some deep sea fishing. This variety of techniques really paid off. Juan landed a nice 19-inch Spotted Trout which put up a good fight. But the real highlight was reeling in an 18-inch Spotted Trout- always a crowd-pleaser in these parts. To top it off, we hooked an 18-inch Bonnethead Shark, adding some excitement to our day. South Padre Island's diverse fishery really showed its colors, giving us a mix of inshore and offshore action. We wrapped up our trip with smiles all around, having experienced some of the best fishing South Padre Island has to offer. It's days like this that remind me why I love guiding on these waters.
