First cold front of the year.

Trip Summary

Fished this week with Ryan and Jason and their wives as the first real cold fronts of fall rolled through. With morning temps dipping into the 50s, it made for a crisp, beautiful start to the day on the water. The bite started off slow for the mangrove snapper and trout — those cooler temps had them a bit sluggish — but the big redfish were more than ready to pull on the line. We managed to find some solid fish that gave everyone a fight to remember. It’s officially fall fishing season here on the coast, and while the fronts can make the conditions tricky, the reward is always worth it when those oversized reds show up in the spread.
