On that morning with no activity along the dropoff we decided to try our luck a bit further south. Sea was good and we spotted a few birds and caught a wahoo and shortly after we had 2 yellowfin tuna on the lines.During the fight there was a heavy rain and wind picked ip and the sea got rough and tough.After boating the two 80lbs tunas we headed downwind and did not find much.About an hour before heading back we had a strike on the long rigger lure and saw that huge black marlin taking to the air.The fish did not take too much line but was very stubborn and did not want to move from where it was.Our regular customer Mr Chris did an excellent job on the chair but a fish that size wears you out and time was going by.After trying trick after trick the fish was finally starting to get uncomfortable and came up and made some beautiful jumps just to show its size and power. Some time later ,as we were getting ready with the gaffs and the fish was just 2 meters away from the boat with leader in hand, the leader broke due to the many hours chafing with the bill. Some could say a nice release.We could just watch the beautiful fish slowly swim away...see you another day

Out on this wavy afternoon looking for some action we had a strike while we were putting the lines in the water.The hook did not set properly and the fish got away.The next two hours we did not see much until we spotted a few birds circling an area.On the first passage we did not raise any fish but on the second passage a blue marlin hit the short rigger lure before going for the long rigger.Fish on, our customer had a tough fight and the marlin did not jump even once.An hour later we got the gaffs ready and our customer was very pleased to have his first blue marlin on the boat.

On this choppy day we headed out and caught 2 skipjacks in a school along the dropoff and with a lot of bird activity around we decided to do some live baiting. It was a good choice as after half an hour we had an aggressive strike on one of the baits and the good sized marlin took to the air. After taking about 500 meters of line the fish jumped a few more times before going deep where it died. We then had the hard work of bringing the dead fish back up to the surface. Two hours later we were tired and happy to haul the beast onboard.
