We have been lucky this year with only a few cold weeks this winter. I think we avoided any big fish kills and really never even got into any tough winter bite like we usually do in January and february. We seem to be past the cold weather now and the water should be steadily warming. The next few months will have our fish very happy and hungry. There are still some larger schools but they will spread out after the next few months. I would expect the fishing to remain very good through april. Our brackish trips have been very fun now with artificial, but our regular inshore trips are a great option right now for just redfish and trout. Some flounder may show up over the next few months too. March and April can be some of the most fun times of the year to fish because the weather is so nice but all the boat traffic is still somewhat at bay.
