We went from hope to frustration in the blink of an eye, and yes, there were moments of contained anger. Our new friends arrived with a dream: the Roosterfish. And although we put on the table the best banquet of live bait, the "King of the Coast" decided to be the most severe judge of the day. We saw shadows, tracking and unsafe attacks on poppers. But there were two moments that stopped our hearts: two explosive attacks, loaded with that violence that only a trophy Rooster possesses. The fight was brief but brutal; the line could not resist the force of the impact and the fish took the lure like a war trophy into the abyss. Despite the bitter drink of the burst lines, the sea sent us two Jack Crevalles. Although small and discreet, these warriors "saved the lot" and reminded us that in the Pacific you never return completely empty-handed.
