The past couple weeks have been full of excitement. Trout, snook, redfish, big sheep, head, and mangrove snapper are all on the menu. Cabbage key in Giuseppe have been loaded with red fish and snook, Pine fish and big Live shrimp. A little split shot 18 inches above the hook right on the docks will yield big sheep head. On the incoming tide snook are biting pin fish. Lots of action and it just keeps getting better and better, tight lines!

The mangrove snapper bite has been on fire. The cold weather is pushing them a little further the past couple of weeks but I would say it's a better than average bite. Knocker rigs with half a cigar minnow seems to do the trick better than squid. 20 pound mono leader with #2 circle hook, get your grill ready.
