Daniel’s crew joined us for a day on the water, and we started off on a solid sheepshead bite. Not long into the trip, we had a little “casualty of the sea,” so we switched gears and took a short ride to let things settle out. After that reset, we got back to fishing—making a few moves and dialing in on some trout that were ready to cooperate. The crew stayed positive, and we were able to turn it into a productive and memorable trip. Benton and Tim joined me for a trip recently, and we were met with some challenging conditions to start the day. Strong winds and a lower tide had us covering water and staying patient early on. As the morning progressed and the tide began to rise, more areas opened up. We were able to locate a productive stretch that was holding keeper-slot redfish, and the action picked up nicely from there.
