Reef reds

Was a very windy day my group was scheduled for a reef trip .but the weather did not .agree with us .so we decided to do a inshore trip .it took a little bit to get the guys used to fishing .for reds and trout with the wind was a challenge.so as the tide slows to dead low we ducked into a back water where I new there was a nice peace of structure.didn't take long before I had the guys catching. Black drum and redfish .had a great day .

Left the dock at 7am ,a little chill in the air but it warmed up fast .with a slight breez we decided to go back behind a few islands looking for some schooling Reds didn't take long before we found them . we were throwing live minnows Doa shrimp and white and chartreuse paddle tails both were working landing a lot of puppy drum .as the tide picked up the bite slowed so we hit a few points throwing Mirror lures and jerk shad on a 1/4 lead head . did' not take long before we were boating nice trout a few keepers but most just under..all in all a good morning . its shaping up to be a great spring..

The trout are starting to bite around the points . We are having success withe artificials and starting to see bait in the creeks ,.looks like it's going to be a great summer for in shore fishing and the sharks are hungry to .
