Sam Rayburn Fishing Reports

Trip Summary

As of today, the lake is back on the rise. We got down around 4-foot-high last week, but with all the rain the lake has rose to a little over 5ft high to 169.67. the lake is still fishing pretty good for the water temperatures. You can still catch them about any way you want. Personally, I have been offshore fishing points and hard spots mostly unless I just see a big group of fish. Last week during a trip we found some better than average schooling fish (very large school) and could catch them on a spook, jerkbait or pinging a minnow on em. There's still plenty of fish 12-18ft dependent on thermocline in the area of the lake your fishing. Water clarity is back down a bit but will clear up fairly quick Im sure. Hope this helps.
