Today I had yhe day off from guiding. After a long chain of very successful guide trips without me fishing on my own. I needed to take a day and search for fresh fish and particularly trout.
The trout were biting great for me! Anytime i fish for trout, we catch them on artificial. Using artificials and covering water is by far the most efficient way to catch these guys. I ended up catching quite a fee on a pink jerk bait and a Z-Man shrimp. The biggest one was about 24 inches!
