Trip Summary

Today was one of those perfect days out on the water here in South Padre Island, TX. The sun was shining, the winds were light, and the fish were biting. Justin Granger and his buddy joined us for our 5 Hour (PM) Bay Fishing Trip, and we were all eager to get out and see what we could find. As soon as we set out, the rods started bending. The Red Drum (also known as Red Fish) were really fired up, hitting our live baits and jigs hard. We had a blast battling those strong, acrobatic fish, watching them dance on the surface before we carefully brought them aboard. The Spotted Seatrout were also in a feeding mood, and we managed to hook into some nice ones using a mix of techniques like drifting and light tackle. It was nonstop action, with both anglers staying busy the entire time. By the time we headed back in, the cooler was nicely stocked with a great mix of fish. But the real highlight was just being out there, enjoying the beautiful bay waters and having a ton of fun in the process. That's what these South Padre Island fishing trips are all about – getting out, connecting with nature, and creating lasting memories, whether you're a seasoned angler or just looking to try something new. If you're searching for the best fishing experience in South Padre Island, I highly recommend checking out Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. Winter Bay Action: Black Drum & Trout De
Winter Bay Action: Black Drum & Trout De
Januari 17, 2026
Had a crew of four join us for a winter morning trip starting in the early hours. Cloudy skies hung over us throughout the day with rain coming down, but that didn't stop us from getting out on the water. The conditions were what you'd expect for January - a bit rough but nothing we couldn't handle with Today We Fish Charter and Adventures. We focused on drift fishing and bottom fishing techniques, with some trolling mixed in to cover more water. The crew managed to land some solid Black Drum and Speckled Trout during our half-day outing. These techniques work well in these waters because they let you target different depths and structures where the fish are holding. We wrapped up the trip with good catches and everyone had a great time despite the weather. If you're looking to get out on the water for some quality fishing action, book a trip with us at Today We Fish Charter and Adventures.
